President The president of ORABA presides over weekly board meetings and arranges: speakers/dates for quarterly meetings, the annual conference, mentoring student representatives, upholding the bylaws, and more. Shaun Goodman Vice President [email protected]
Shaun has been involved with ABA in Oregon since 2012, and an active member of ORABA since 2013. Throughout the years, Shaun has seen ABA grow in strength and numbers. Before taking on the role of Vice President and Ambassador Co-Chair, Shaun served on the Ambassadors Committee from 2020-2022 and specifically focused on disseminating ABA and amplifying autistic voices. In addition, one of Shuan's passions is the support in creating resources for parents. Throughout the years she has seen families struggle to navigate insurance, DD services, employment supports, group homes, and more and over the year of 2021 Shaun worked closely with ORABA's student representatives to create more robust and accessible caregiver resources.
Shaun currently is a Clinical Supervisor at LifeStance Health (formally Western Psychological and counseling services). Shaun earned her Masters in Special Education from the University of Washington, studying under Dr. Nancy Rosenburg and became a . a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in 2017. Shaun has presented research posters at ORABA and WABA. Over the years, Shaun has worked in a variety of local settings including schools, clinics, and in homes and with clients range in age from 3-19.
Outside of ABA, Shaun enjoy the great outdoors, house projects, volunteering at Kindness Farms in SE Portland, being involved in her community, and dancing.

Megan Johns

Meghan Johns began her work with children and adults with developmental and intellectual differences in both home and community settings in 2010. She went on to complete her Master’s degree in Education in 2014, with an emphasis on ABA. She has worked as a Behavior Analyst since 2015 working with individuals with autism and their families in a variety of contexts.
In addition to her role as a BCBA. She has worked to be involved in the community through a few different platforms. She served on a collaboration workgroup committee for the Oregon Commission of Autism Spectrum disorder helping to start discussions between ABA providers and School districts. She has also served on the Oregon Behavior Analysis Regulatory Board helping to regulate Behavior Analysts in Oregon.

Carol J. McPheters Secretary [email protected]
Carol J. McPheters, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA, is an Assistant Professor at the Oregon Institute of Technology and has worked in behavior analysis for twenty years. She started her career working with Dr. Ivar Lovaas at UCLA. Subsequently, she received her master’s degree from California State University, Los Angeles, and her doctorate from Caldwell University. Dr. McPheters is passionate about inspiring and guiding the next generation of behavior analysts. In her practice, she has assisted individuals with autism to acquire the skills necessary to lead meaningful lives and provided consultation to agencies that serve individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings. Her research on stimulus equivalence is published in the Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior.

Katie has worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings including in-home, clinic, group homes, and day programs. She has experience with intensive behaviors across the lifespan and early intervention. Katie is passionate about including learners in their goal development and staff development, and promoting cultural competency.
